control poem

I feel trapped in this vicious cycle,

A wave of nauseousness flows through my heart,

It engulfs my body with intentions pretty sinful,

Reminding me that solitude is nothing short of art.

A long walk in the moonlight, I decide.

It’s dark. Hmm. Hitchhike! I should ask for a ride.

“Where to, sweetheart?”, he questions.

A place that halts these thoughts,

A place where love overshadows hate shamelessly,

A place that lets me breathe recklessly,

A place where ‘finding yourself’ is non-existent,

A place so unreal that the only way up is commitment.

I exclaimed,

As he whizzed past probably questioning my sanity.

Clearly the dainty feeling of insecurity, once again taken lightly.

Oh! How lovely would that place be, I wonder.

But my claustrophobia controls me and

All I am is a body with a soul permamnently caged.

Irrespective of my undying faith in uncertainity,

Everything here is pre-planned, dramatically staged.

I had wrriten this one a while back but in my notebook. And to all of you who didn’t know I am from the lazy side of the planet (whichever side that is). Anyway the whole point of this is, I hit 200+ followers. YAYAYAYA!!!!!!

We are a family of 200+ people. And that’s huge. Around 11 months ago I had no idea, this was going to happen. Take it from someone who has been there, start. Whatever it is you want to do, just start. Take a step, a plunge or dive in but start. Your first try would not be perfect, but sooner or later you will polish yourself. A few posts of mine are something I wouldn’t show-off but I still have them up as lessons to improve.  And if you fail, do it again. It’s always better to try and fail than to never try.

Finally, THANK YOU and I know I say this all time. But sincerely thank you. I might not be regular with my posts. School and other personal stuff have taken up my time. And being a professional procrastinator doesn’t help either. But I am planning to schedule my posts (I know I say that all the damn time, but I am really hoping to).

P.s. – You know what another milestone means, right? Yes, a new project. More on that in the next post. (Hint: It’s a guest post series. 😉 ).

There’s a certain uniqueness in your writing style. It’s much more mature than your age.
It’s really nothing less than a masterpiece.

Lovely. If we are constantly in the search of that place, wandering, our souls are caged, indeed. 🙂
