When does it become enough?
Cause all I can hear is you bluff.
When will you stop being a part of this stereotype,
Stop making us fit into your type.
When will you stop treating girls like trophy,
We are not made for your cooking, cleaning or laundry.
Stand, sit, smile, look down, legs together,
Oh! I am sorry miss there must be an error
You can’t teach me to behave
I am long past being your slave.
Stop reading these fairy-tales to me,
About a prince coming to save me.
Oh no! please, thank you, but I don’t need saving,
No! I don’t someone handsome intelligent or caring.
You want to give me something, then
Allow me to step out of my house after ten
In the night, when there are men in dark alleys
Promise me, that my parents won’t have to bow their head in shame
Cause I was stubborn and wanted to be a dame.
Enough, it’s high time,
We stand for what is right.
We will never stop fighting,
Look closer, here is a warrior in making.
Woohoo! There you go. So this is something I wrote today. I hope you like it. This one is called “Enough.” To be honest, I had nothing to post today. And then i was like no, Tanya get off the couch and write something. Do comment down below and let me know if you like it. This is one issue that I am very passionate about. So if you too are a feminist or believe in equality among both men and women then you might like this.
